Services: Data Storage
Enterprise class data storage has for a long time only been available to larger organisations due to the complexity and cost associated with implementing it. However, the latest family of high performance iSCSI storage systems with RAID data security and options for snapshot and data replication is now available to small and medium businesses at a realistic price. With data capacities from 250GBytes to 50TBytes+ per unit, iSCSI allows simple connection of servers in a one to one, one to many, many to one or many to many configuration to iSCSI storage systems using low cost Gigabit Ethernet connections and Ethernet switches. It provides a low cost and simple alternative to conventional and expensive fibre channel SANs.Click here to download our iSCSI Technology Brief.
With built in support for Storage Virtualisation, multiple units can be used to build a single storage pool offering highly saleable capacity and simple management. POWER iSCSI Systems integrate perfectly with Microsofts Solution Centre management suite to provide comprehensive reporting on the SAN system.
POWER iSCSI models all feature industry leading high performance dual 64 bit Quad Core processor engine, latest technology 64 bit RISC based hardware RAID systems with both RAID 5 and RAID 6 data security, six gigabit Ethernet interfaces and have options for multiple copper or optical 10Gbit Ethernet, as well as integrated time stamped snapshot feature as standard. Enhanced remotemanagement capability is also standard. POWER iSCSI models support Enterprise Class SAS or SATA ll disk drives.
The family of POWER iSCSI systems have a wide range of standard and optional features to provide advanced functionality, expandability, data protection and management:
